Grace Period — 30 Days

If you miss your due date, NIA regulations give you a 30-day grace period to pay without losing your cover or riders. Your policy remains active during this window.

If Your Policy Has Lapsed

Once the grace period passes, your policy lapses. Contact your branch immediately — most insurers allow revival within 2 years, usually requiring a medical declaration and arrear premiums plus interest.

Pay Digitally

Open your digital wallet → Insurance section → search your company name → pay in under 2 minutes.

What Lapsing Costs You

  • Life cover (your family has no payout)
  • Accidental Death Benefit rider
  • Critical Illness rider
  • All accrued bonuses (years of compound growth)
  • Tax deduction benefit under Section 88B
